Hello and welcome to my Photography Page. I have compiled a series of questions that I receive on a frequent basis, either in person or by email. Hopefully it will give you some insight on who I am, and what I am about. If you feel that your questions haven't been adequately answered, please email me at robertrainbowphotos@yahoo.com and let me know.
How did you get into photography?
Shooting started for me back when I was growing up in upstate New York. I would take my point and shoot camera that my mom gave me and just walk/hike for hours on end taking pictures. I raised on a farm in upstate NY and there is where I taught myself on how to look at things differently. I love photography and everything about it since I was young.
Do you find photography difficult?
I suppose it was difficult when I first started shooting, not knowing very much about the technical side of photography. Getting that great shot has to do with both the eye of the photographer and their technical knowledge.
What do find tough about the business?
One of the toughest things about this and almost any business is the constant self-promotion and marketing. It is THE most time consuming part of this business that I do.
What does professional mean to you?
Being professional means that I'm on time, responsible, and I produce the idea/vision that my clients have hired me to create. I consider myself to be a professional photographer, but I am always learning. I also love hearing ideas from the people I work with and see what they had in mind so I can incorporate some of their ideas.
Where can fans see more of your work?
I own other based websites like (Video Production Co. Fast-Films )
http://www.fast-forward-films.com &

Who is your favorite photographer?
I am a fan of the more modern photographers like Scott Jarvie, Trey Ratcliff and Darwin Young they have different styles which I love. I love of photography and everything about it, so I enjoy so many others who do this art form.
Do you ever shoot outside of Atlanta?
I do travel, shooting all kinds of things like landscape (nature), weddings, maternity, events and concerts. In the past couple of years been doing more photos of models, actors and actresses and nudes. I have done a lot of photos for free for spouses of the people in the military. I have a great appreciation for those who fight for our freedom so at least do something for them.
What type of personality do you have?
I am a very laid back, easy going type of person. I do not allow disturbances to rattle my cage. There are many things in life that we have absolutely no control over, so I just roll with it.
